~~~My new mission for this web site is now enlarged to include Deadwood, other cities, counties, Black Hills and South Dakota~~~ web site will also focus on the Deadwood SD High School which ceased to exist in 1971. The high school was consolidated into another town, called Lead.~~~ The entire town area of Deadwood was included into the -Deadwood Historical District of the National Register of Landmark Districts- in 1961.~~~ So Deadwood history abounds, but personal histories not recorded will be lost.~~~ I try to record little pieces of DHS & Deadwood history and surround it with interesting information.~~~Also I will add other articles that I feel are of interest.~~~ I encourage classmates and friends to share historical items and items of interest on this web site.~~~
